Break Umbrella Archive (Canon and Non-Canon)

Well, I don’t consider myself an artist, but seeing my old drawings… it hurts a little, but I hope that means I’ve improved at least to some degree.

Break Umbrella is the first part of a larger story that (as is planned currently) will be divided in 8 parts.

Originally, the second part of this story (TMBD) was Part 1 and pretended to show some events of Break Umbrella as flashbacks, ultimately having an unfinished spin-off for that segment of the story.

I think it is necessary to show what I did before. Even if by now I only like how “TMBD Chapter 0” turned out, the original canon is how I first showed my story to the internet.

Original Break Umbrella Spin-off (No longer canon, reboot in process)

First released throughout 2021, it consisted of two complete chapters, and one that remained inconclusive. The content of this spin-off is no longer canon, but served as a basis for the current version.

This material will be released as the current version gets updated.

Original TMBD (No longer Canon, to be rebooted)

TMBD was the first chapter of the Break Umbrella Story and had two runs from 2020 to 2022 and released 8 complete chapters and the first parts of the ninth.

There weren’t many differences between both versions besides some drawings and dialogues. Expect the second version to be the only one re-releasing, with some comparison between version 1 and 2 to complement.

TMBD will be rebooted as the sequel to Break Umbrella once the latter is finished.

Sketches for pages up until chapter 18 were made for TMBD. These will be released as well once we reach the third arc of TMBD.

TMBD Chapter 0 – Blood Eyes (Canon, to be re-released as it was)

The last Chapter meant for the original canon, is actually part of the current canon!

Set between Break Umbrella and TMBD events, Blood Eyes follows a character that is mentioned during the start of Volume 1, as he deals with demons of his present, ghosts from his pasts and teases his future in TMBD.

Because it is set after the end of Break Umbrella, it is now a spoiler and will be re-released along with the first chapter of the rebooted TMBD. If by the end of Break Umbrella you are still engaged with the story, I’m sure Chapter 0 of TMBD will hook you up even more!

Inksgiving 2021

To believe I thought I could do this much back then!

Inksgiving is or was an event of Tapas were authors of comics can put milestones of ink (some sort of currency readers obtain by reading or buying it if I recall right) so that readers give it to them and expect something extra for the artist.

I don’t remember if I got paid with actual money, but if I did it should have been less than 10 dollars.

Honestly, I would prefer not to do this anymore, it overwhelmed me when I realised how much it, but I said I will and now I’m years behind!

I’ll do as much as I can, upload when it’s better to not spoil the story for newcomers, and hopefully complete everything as quickly and good as possible, but it will take time.

Inktober 2020

I always wanted to complete an inktober challenge, but doing so while trying to make a comic and still on your last semester of college, makes the process less enjoyable.

Breaking Chalk Era

The months I was under the Breaking Chalk username, were the ones in which I was at my lowest mentally. The avatar “Brea” (as in BREAking chalk) uses the design of the protagonist of part 7, but the drawings related to Brea were pretty much me dealing with identity issues as someone drawing on the internet, as a graduate with debts to pay, as a worker unsatisfied with my job, and a lot of things more I’d rather not express here.
