Revisiting: Original Break Umbrella Comic – Part 4

Happy Monkey’s Notes

I told you to take your meds!

The flask starts to show the words “Z-Lab now. Save Them” in its glass.

In my mind, the Umbrella was so well-protected that it made it impossible for Alexis and Natasha to use a more technological electronic, like the watch that ended up in the final version.

But the flask showing words though a programmed chemical reaction felt too weird for the start of a story with already too many weird things in its beginning.

Parents close to Ganen

Chiclen father’s were meant to be Ganen Corp. scientists, and one of the reasons why Natasha got her work at the Umbrella.

In the end, I felt that having Natasha being Chiclen’s link to Ganen, was more tragic.

I also thought that it would make William justify more his desdain towards him, as Chiclen wouldn’t really have anything that special coming from a family of “nobodies”.

Metal? No Problem! (that hurt though)

Chiclen actually got to hit some Metalcolds in the first version!

I thought of most metalcolds being resistant, but not enough for the Brillantis to hit them with their bare hands, but that made their “metal” part of their name somewhat meaningless.

Even if the first version shows that Chiclen’s knuckles are starting to bleed, it didn’t sell the supposedly enhanced metalcolds as much as the final version. I also saw potential on a plotline in which Chiclen develops a rivalry towards a Metalcold character that did something horrible to him.
