Happy Monkey’s Notes

Take your meds!
Instead of POYDA taking Espinard to the prototype warehouse, it was Alexis who told him where to meet him, to give him a… bottle of medicine?
As will be revealed in the next section, the flask was meant to show Espinard the warning of the Metalcolds attacking, instead of the health watch.
But POYDA is a robot, and Alexis is not, so if Millonario were to know about Espinard getting the warnings, he would have blamed Alexis, instead of the robot that could have been hacked by the enemy to make Espinard navigate through corridors he shouldn’t be walking through.

Peaceful times
Chiclen and the others were more skeptical about the intentions of the Brillanti Project, specially for their training as soldiers instead of just health improvements.
Introducing the possibility of war in a new story instead of a spin-off seemed as too much, even mentioning species like Metalcolds and Felpas without letting the reader know what they are right away felt wrong (in the end it was one of the aspects I had more issues to properly introduce).
I plan to explore more of the human’s past at the Umbrella and before, so their decision to join the Brillanti Project feels as natural as possible under their circumstances, and that we can see their reactions through the 2 years inside the Umbrella.
Regarding the world’s history, I intend to reveal more of it while the story progresses, and why the year is “998. S.E.”. One thing I can say now, is that they are not in Earth or a parallel world to Earth.

Crystals
Originally, they knew what Crystals were, and that they were being turned into ones through Project Brillanti.
Among the many species of the story, Crystals are meant to be demonized to the point the world authorities want them to be exterminated and forgotten. Chiclen and the others being that okay with becoming what would be considered as “mythical creatures” felt a bit off.
Making them join only to improve as humans, along with the events that led them to “willingly” want that, was better. However, there is still connection between how Crystals and Brillantis use their powers.
Having the more experienced Margot (and Alonse in future chapters 8 and 9) introduced right after the Brillantis escaped the Umbrella was necessary to develop their powers for future events, as the training they had under General Omvoro, was more of a military training, rather than teachings to control and improve supernatural powers.
